Payroll ManagerJersey City, New Jersey, United StatesAbout the Job Payroll ManagerPayroll Manager / Sr. ManagerLocation - Jersey City (Hybrid - Tues / Thurs from office)Salary: Up to $150k + 12% annual performance bonusOverview:We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll administration and a strong understanding of payroll regulations. Your main responsibility will be to ensure efficient service delivery by managing timely and accurate payments and withholdings for employees in the US, Canada, and Ireland. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance, streamlining payroll procedures for greater efficiency and staying up to date with current regulations and best practices.Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees in the US, Canada, and IrelandEnsure compliance with relevant laws and payroll tax obligationsOversee payroll controls and reconcile payroll dataManage payroll workload to meet operational requirementsSupport all internal and external audits and reviews related to payroll operationsHandle quarterly and year-end activities, including W-2 reconciliationSupervise and mentor payroll staff, providing training as neededOversee payroll changes and system upgradesIdentify, implement, and manage continuous improvement initiativesMaintain the integrity of payroll dataCollaborate with internal business departments across functionsAssist with special projects as requiredQualifications:Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws, regulations, and complianceProven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines effectivelyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepanciesDemonstrated ability to implement best practices and enhance operational efficienciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levelsCapable of handling sensitive situations while maintaining a high level of confidentialityAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamSound judgment and decision-making skillsRequirements:- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related Business field- 10+ years of relevant payroll experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role- Must have worked for a large, publicly held US-based firm- Expertise in Dayforce or similar automated payroll software and/or Oracle- Must have lead team in the past- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareOr refer someone
