Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Client license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have New York license in hand. Must have EPIC charting experience. Must have experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The nurse will work night shifts, three times a week. Every other weekend coverage is required. The nurse must be able to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for medical-surgical patients. The unit cares for acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders as well as acute medical patients. The nursing staff provides evidence-based care during the primary prevention and acute care phases of stroke care. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including teams for IV services, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with a focus on various medical diagnoses. The nurse will be expected to float within the skillset when needed.
