Location: Juneau, AK

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 1.0 FTE, shifts will depend on scheduling needs. The pediatric clinic operates from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Description: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities. Services are delivered in compliance with hospital standards and professional guidelines, focusing on a wide range of diagnoses and age groups. The SLP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to form therapy diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans based on patient assessments.
• Document all patient interactions and therapy outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
• Provide education and training to patients and families on self-care and therapeutic exercises.
• Participate in community health promotion and collaborative projects.
• Assist with administrative duties, maintain clinical space, and support supply management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Alaska state licensure in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP required).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience with pediatrics and outpatient settings is required.
