Custodians (Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities)Location: Suffolk, VA Job Type: Part-Time and Full-TimePosition Summary: We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented custodians to join our facilities team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for staff, visitors, and clients. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and the ability to perform custodial duties with discretion and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Execute routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfacesMaintain restrooms, break areas, offices, and shared spaces to high cleanliness standardsEmpty waste receptacles and ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclablesReplenish paper products, soaps, and other suppliesOperate cleaning equipment and utilize appropriate chemicals safely and efficientlyIdentify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptlySecure buildings by locking doors and activating alarms (as needed)Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious custodial experience is advantageous but not requiredCapability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks consistentlyBe able to stand for extended periodsWorking knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicalsStrong attention to detail, time management skills, and reliabilityAbility to follow instructions and work independently or collaborativelyWork Schedule:Part-Time: 15 to 30 hours per week; flexible shifts may be availableFull-Time: 35-40 hours per week; consistent schedule and assigned responsibilities (Benefit Eligible)Benefits (for eligible positions):Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive workplace cultureRequirements:Must be able to pass a criminal background checkMust have a reliable source of transportation
