Human Resources Intern

AJM Packaging Corporation in Taylor, MI is seeking an HR Intern. This is a great opportunity for students interested in a wide range of Human Resources activities for one of Michigan's leading manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support with employee files
• Shadow department members to assist on various projects and deliverables
• Learn about the business by supporting HR professionals and working with operations team members
• Maintain both paper and digital employee files, utilizing our HRIS, UKG Pro
• Support HR team by answering basic questions from employees
• Communicate with other departments, including senior management
• Assist with processing of onboarding and off-boarding paperwork. Assist with new hire orientation, learn about federal, state, and plant specific documents
• Assist with recruiting new employees, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews and extending employment offers
• Provide general clerical support to HR team
• Other duties as assigned by HR Manager

Minimum Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to function well in a high-paced, team-oriented manufacturing plant
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
