MRI TechnologistAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking a MRI Technologist to support operations at the Northport VA Medical Center located at 79 Middleville Rd, Northport, NY 11768. Shifts include working days, evenings, nights and to include a weekend and holiday rotation. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesPerform a full range of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) examinations, including contrast and non-contrast studiesPrepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining exams, addressing questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safetyOperate CT and MR equipment in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer guidelinesApply comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and safety principlesAdminister contrast agents and monitor patients for adverse reactionsEnsure strict adherence to MRI safety standards, including screening patients, staff, and equipmentEvaluate images for quality and diagnostic accuracy prior to radiologist interpretationDocument procedures, exam delays, and clinical notes in the VA electronic health record (CPRS/VistA)Track and document reportable CT radiation doses as requiredFollow all radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocolsCommunicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staffParticipate in quality improvement activities, required meetings, and ongoing performance monitoringMaintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment and work areasPerform other related duties as assigned in support of imaging servicesQualificationsARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (R)ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI (or documented MRI-specific training and experience as required by facility)Active, full, and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license in any U.S. state or territoryMinimum three (3) years of recent experience working in advanced imaging modalities (CT and/or MRI)Demonstrated proficiency in:MRI physics, safety, and cross-sectional anatomyUse of PACS and electronic medical record systemsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationNo sponsorship availablePosition Pays: $75 - $80.09 /hrAll candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
