About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Active, unrestricted RN License or valid compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (specifically craniotomies) Description: Position requires an Operating Room Registered Nurse with circulator expertise. Candidates must have experience in circulating, scrubbing, and charge roles. Night shift consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 1900 to 0700. On-call is required, with up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts in a 13-week period. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. First-time travelers will be considered. Previous charge experience is preferred. Level 1 trauma center experience is required, but highly skilled clinicians with recent level 2 trauma experience will be considered. Experience in a high-volume operating room is essential, with a fast-paced environment. This position involves patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Strong skills in a variety of surgical specialties are necessary, with expertise in neuro and trauma. Floating to other areas within the facility may be required based on staffing needs.
