The role supports daily meal operations and ensures residents receive safe and accurate food service. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:Food Preparation: Prepare and portion food items, beverages, and snacks while following established instructionsTray Assembly: Set up carts, read diet codes, and assemble trays to match individual dietary needsMeal Delivery: Transport and deliver resident trays and maintain accuracy of special ordersSanitation Tasks: Clean dishes, equipment, furniture, and food service areas to maintain safe conditionsSafety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, use protective equipment, and report hazards or injuriesRecord Keeping: Document inventory use, temperatures, and meal counts as requiredWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hourWork hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualifications (not required):Willingness to work in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PennsylvaniaWillingness to work full-time from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM with rotating days and weekendsPrevious food service worker experienceFood service experience in an assisted living facility, nursing home, hospital, restaurant, or other food service operationWork experience interacting with patients, residents, or customers while serving food/cleaning in patient/resident rooms or a dining room settingWork experience with food safety and sanitation in a dietary departmentLegal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
