Date: May 12, 2026 Location: AUSTIN, TX Agency: Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) Job Title: Program Specialist V (Quality Management Specialist) Department: BH QUALITY MANAGEMENT Posting Number: 16915 | Closing Date: 06/11/2026 | Salary: $4,523.16 - $7,253.83 per month Shift: Day | Full time | Nonexempt | Telework eligible | Up to 40% travel required Job Summary The Behavioral Health Services Quality Management (QM) Specialist works under the supervision of the QM Manager or their designee, performing complex consultative and technical tasks that require specialized knowledge in monitoring and continuously improving contractor services, programs, and organizations. The role plans, develops and implements on‑site and desk reviews to assess service quality and compliance with contracts, grants, laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The specialist evaluates services delivered to consumers and business functions related to care management, ensures effective communication of findings to stakeholders, evaluates corrective action plans and conducts follow‑ups to determine if necessary improvements have been made and maintained. The QM Specialist provides technical support, training, presentations and responds to inquiries from providers and the community. The position is telework eligible; the candidate must reside in the Greater Austin, Texas area or be willing to relocate. #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Health and Human Services
