Speech Language Pathologist (Middle & High School) Lake Station, IN Speech-Language Pathologist (Middle & High School) Location: Lake Station, IN Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite School Year: August 17, 2026 – May 27, 2027 (Estimated) Salary: $57,500–$70,000 annually (based on experience) About the Opportunity AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech‑Language Pathologist to join a supportive school team in Lake Station, Indiana. This full‑time position serves middle and high school students enrolled in life skills classrooms, providing meaningful communication support that helps students increase their independence, access their education, and build functional communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and working with students who have complex communication needs, including those who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Provide speech‑language services to students in middle and high school life skills classrooms. Support students with a variety of communication disorders, including complex communication needs associated with autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and multiple disabilities. Work with students who use or are learning to use AAC systems, including both low‑tech and high‑tech communication devices. Focus on functional communication skills that promote independence across classroom, community, and vocational settings. Opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while making a lasting impact on their communication and quality of life. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech‑language evaluations and interpret assessment results. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with each student’s educational goals. Provide direct and consultative speech‑language therapy services in individual and small group settings. Evaluate, implement, and support Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and train staff on effective AAC use. Create functional, engaging therapy activities that support communication across school environments. Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success. Attend IEP meetings, complete progress reports, and maintain compliant documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Participate in RTI initiatives and provide consultation for students with emerging communication needs. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Current Indiana Speech‑Language Pathology License (or eligibility to obtain). Indiana Department of Education certification (or ability to obtain) preferred. Experience supporting students with AAC and complex communication needs is preferred but not required. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. School‑based experience is preferred; however, Clinical Fellows and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Passion for helping students develop functional communication skills and achieve meaningful progress. Competitive weekly pay with a salaried compensation model.
