District Director of Technology

The Westside Consolidated School District is looking for a District Director of Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelors degree in information technology computer science educational technology education or a related field preferred. Equivalent education certifications and relevant professional experience may be considered.

2. Prior experience in technology administration network management systems support or a related field.

3. Working knowledge of network infrastructure wireless systems servers device management user accounts cloud-based applications and technology security.

4. Knowledge of cybersecurity practices including access controls data protection system backups threat prevention incident response and disaster recovery.

5. Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage district-wide technology operations and multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Ability to develop short- and long-range technology plans and make recommendations regarding equipment infrastructure software security and replacement schedules.

7. Ability to manage technology budgets purchasing inventory vendor relationships contracts and technology-related projects.

8. Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to administrators teachers staff students vendors and other stakeholders.

9. Ability to provide leadership technical support and professional development to employees with varying levels of technology knowledge and experience.

10. Ability to evaluate technology needs and recommend practical cost-effective solutions that support instructional and operational needs of the district.

11. Ability to maintain accurate records documentation technology inventories procedures and system information.

12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately protect student employee and district data.

13. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment and respond appropriately to technology emergencies system outages and changing priorities.

14. Demonstrates professionalism sound judgment integrity and the ability to work collaboratively with district employees and outside service providers.

15. Must meet all district employment requirements including required background screenings and drug testing.

Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may deem appropriate.

Salary will be commensurate with the board approved salary schedule.
