Employee Focused.Job Profile SummaryThe primary function of this role is to work closely with Operations personnel to achieve optimization, regulatory, and project objectives. The ideal candidate has the ability to connect theoretical calculations with actual operations processes.Performs a multitude of process related duties to ensure processing plants and equipment are operating efficiently, effectively, and products are within spec (maximize NOI). These duties include process modeling, plant troubleshooting, identification of OPEX and CAPEX projects, and Operations support.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization Develop and maintain standardized operational based KPIsLeverage KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and drive targeted changeMeasure and validate the impacts of improvement initiativesResearch and develop potential projects including high level scoping, estimating, and project economicsDevelop tools such as dashboards and metrics to assist asset owners in determining loss profit/gain profit opportunitiesCoordinate field studies and implement improvementsPerform model simulations based on set conditions to predict outcomes and determine performance Develop computer models to support Commercial requests, Operations troubleshooting, and asset optimizationExplain discrepancies between theoretical and actual performance and provide guidance for closing gapsMaintain, update, and calibrate process models to ensure accurate representations of equipment and processesMaintain a global view and ensure plants are meeting outlet specificationsAssist Asset Engineer with the review of process designs and projects plans as well as modeling needs; Troubleshoot specific issues and identify potential remediation stepsRoutine report generation and data analysisEducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field and the following job-related experience preferredWork ExperienceExperience and knowledge of engineering design and criteria for natural gas and/or NGLs in pipeline systemsExperience at this level is typically attained with seven or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project managementExperience achieving goals and developing employee/team strengths, exhibiting a positive example and influence that leads to employee, project, and stakeholder successesExperience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.Experience researching and preparing project materials and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, and other relevant reports, forms, and correspondenceExperience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action/responseExperience with and knowledge of pipelines or hydrocarbon processing and related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenanceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of: material failure and structural analysis and industry standards and governmental regulationsKnowledge of: and understanding of operational functions and commercial relationships with the ability to anticipate functional and transactional impactsAbility to: read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other relevant reports and correspondenceAbility to: analyze and resolve issues and/or questions concerning engineering design and calculations obtaining assistance if needed on more complex design and calculationsAbility to: review complex engineering drawings and material.Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlinesAbility to: identify, plan and organize projects to completion, goals, and initiativesAbility to: use logic and reasoning to identify alternate solutions or approaches to a problemAbility to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methodsAbility to: interact, negotiate, advise, and communicate effectivelyAbility to: operate office tools and equipment requiredAbility to: communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages, and other written information, which may contain technical material, in a logical, organized, and coherent mannerLicenses and CertificationsNone requiredStrength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/RequirementsSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
