Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend rotations are required. Candidates will be expected to comply with established guidelines and policies.

Unit Information

• Location: Austin, TX
• Number of Beds: 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast track, 5 behavioral health
• Number of Staff: 111
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 for emergency department, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients

Staffing Details

• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 11 additional RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Paramedic, 1 LVN
• Night Shift: Same as day shift staffing

Equipment and Technology

• Alaris pumps
• Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers
• Stryker stretchers
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: MEDITECH

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS
• ENPC
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MEDITECH
• Trauma experience
• Inpatient experience
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)

Dress Code

Scrubs must be navy blue. Please adhere to all established policies regarding professional attire.
