Python Engineer In Capital Markets
Python engineers in capital markets are responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving financial software applications. They leverage Python's capabilities to handle complex calculations, automate processes, and analyze vast amounts of data.
Location: Charlotte, NC & NJ (Onsite) And Dallas TX
Pay rate- $60 (Max)
Overall 10+ years' experience
Domain:
- Understanding of various financial instruments Interest rate swap, FX product (Swap, Spot, Forward), Bonds, Repo/Reverse repo, MBS bonds.
- Have a high level understanding of how MTM and DV01 are calculated for the above set of products.
- It would be nice to also have an understanding of P/L explain or attribution works.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with financial applications and capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib).
- Understanding of machine learning techniques.
- Ability to optimize code for high performance and low latency.
- Experience with integrating new solutions with legacy systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance processes.

- Design and implement algorithms to automate trading processes.
- Utilize historical and real-time market data to inform trading decisions.
- Apply machine learning techniques to enhance algorithm accuracy and effectiveness.
- Data Analysis and Visualization
- Process and analyze financial data to extract actionable insights.
- Create visualizations to help traders and analysts understand market trends.
- Risk Management
- Develop models to predict potential risks and simulate scenarios.
- Automate risk analysis to help firms mitigate losses and maintain stability.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure financial institutions comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop systems to automate the monitoring and reporting of transactions.
- Maintain transparency and adherence to legal standards.
