The Position

We are excited to be hiring a Senior Counsel, Commercial Litigation and Investigations, Global Legal Pharma . The position is based at Genentech in South San Francisco. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Commercial Litigation and Investigations. It is a high-impact role with significant visibility across the business, leading and supporting worldwide commercial litigation and the defense of government enforcement actions.

The Opportunity

• Leading and managing an active and varied caseload of commercial litigations and/or government investigations, appeals, and other adversarial proceedings, while advising on substantive legal strategy with creativity, vision and appropriate risk tolerance.
• Partnering closely with and advising business clients and legal department colleagues on a broad range of high-impact, strategic issues using a practical and business-minded approach.
• Developing strategies to advance, avoid or resolve regional, national, and international disputes, including directly negotiating settlements.
• Counseling on multi-jurisdictional litigations or other proceedings, including coordinating with counterparts around the world.
