Innovation is what we are.We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our South Chesterfield, VA location.The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design of system components, and standard and custom machine design. This includes responsibility for the master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design, working with and coordinating other mechanical engineers on projects, controls, and software engineers to make sure the design meets performance, budget, and timeline requirements.Duties include but are not limited to:Responsible for the mechanical design of systems from concept through acceptance testing.Responsible for master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design, working with and coordinating other mechanical engineers on the project, controls, and software engineers to make sure the design meets performance, budget, and timeline requirements.Works closely with the entire Mechanical Engineering department.Cooperate closely with all other departments (Controls, Software, Purchasing, Fabrication, Applications, and Service).Help generate technical concepts, layouts, technical calculations, and cost calculations.Makes customer site visits as necessary to help solve field issues.Perform other duties as assigned.Occasional travel may be required.Perform other duties as assigned.Education/ Experience & Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or a related program and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment that involves robotic experience preferably in the packaging automation industry.
