We are seeking a hands-on Shop Foreman to lead daily operations for a growing power generation team in Houston, TX. This is a working foreman role focused on hands-on troubleshooting, technician development, and shop oversight. Ideal candidates bring strong generator experience along with a well-rounded mechanical background in industries such as oil & gas, heavy equipment, or industrial service.

Position Offers

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on working foreman supporting daily shop operations, technician development, and workflow oversight

• Oversee inspection, testing, repair, overhaul, and commissioning of diesel and natural gas generator systems

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues across a variety of generator platforms

• Perform voltage changes, breaker replacements, and generator panel programming/reprogramming

• Manage scheduling, job prioritization, safety compliance, and overall shop productivity while serving as the team's primary technical resource

Requirements

• 7+ years of generator experience supporting diesel and natural gas systems, including 5+ years in a lead or supervisory role

• Experience working on major OEM platforms including CAT, Cummins, Kohler, MTU, and MQ

• Strong knowledge of generator controls, ECMs, governors, shutdown systems, and electrical troubleshooting

• Well-rounded mechanical background beyond generators strongly preferred (oil & gas, heavy equipment, industrial service, etc.)

• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals; ERP/CMMS experience preferred (Acumatica a plus)
