Radiologic Technologist

The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic imaging procedures as required. These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. The radiologic technologist must perform the procedures competently and independently as applicable. This position involves tasks that may require exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. Availability for day, evening, and night shift hours as well as on-call coverage is required. Job Relationships: Directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Works closely with medical staff, including radiologists and emergency physicians. Collaboration with hospital leadership and various departments is necessary. Occupational Hazards: Works in a general hospital setting and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Exposure to patients in various stages of infectious states may occur.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Radiologic Technologist Certification from an accredited body and certified by the state of California is required. Desire to cross-train into other modalities is preferred. A current CPR certification is necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in an applicable field or equivalent experience. Experience with PACS/RIS systems. Experience with Electronic Health Record systems is preferred. Expectations: Adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Act as a role model within the organization.
