Shipping Clerk

Job Summary:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for reviewing the daily outbound delivery monitor (VL060) and will perform the clerical and export documentation functions for the Shipping Department.

Regular work schedule will reflect


Monday Friday 9am 5:30pm

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of


$19.25 to $21.00 per hour.
This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicants experience, qualifications, and geographical location.

You will make a difference in the following ways:

• Performs necessary data transactions in SAP to ensure the timely processing of shipments
  
  
• Verifies freight charges utilizing Transportation Insight website
  
  
• Performs audits to ensure all product that left the dock were invoiced and performs audits on finished deliveries as needed
  
  
• Processes/rates for all skid shipments, prepares bill of ladings, and shipping labels
  
  
• Schedules shipments with all customers 3PLs
  
  
• Handles all aspects of tariff code identification and international shipping, including but not limited to the generation of commercial invoices, shippers export documentation, NAFTA Certification of Origin, security clearance forms and shippers letter of instructions
  
  
• Remains cross-trained in all functions of the Shipper role in order to provide support to the department as needed based upon the business demands
  
  
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, abiding by company rules and safety regulations
  
  
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
  
  

What you bring:

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
  
  
• Previous experience of shipping systems such as UPS Online, Fed-Ex, Powership System, and Airborn System
  
  

Knowledge:

• Strong organizational skills and computer literacy
  
  
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  
  
• Familiarity of shipping regulations for domestic and international shipments
  
  

Special Skills:
Forklift License and OSHA Certification a plus.

Provide support to the production floor, answer equipment repair and trouble-shooting requests to eliminate machine downtime and ensure continuous production.

Pay: $19.25 - $21.00 per hour
