• Discover new directions: At Bosch, you will find your place.• Balance your life: At Bosch, your job matches your lifestyle.• Celebrate success: At Bosch, we celebrate you.• Be yourself: At Bosch, we value values.• Shape tomorrow: At Bosch, you change lives.Job DescriptionThe Software Project Manager will lead North American software development for Electric Power Steering projects.Core Responsibilities:Lead software development activities within the project organizationDefine, track and align project plans and release schedules to successfully manage all software development activitiesDrive technical clarifications to implement customer requirements and defined technical content according to project targetsInterface with external and internal customers for all software related topicsInterface with platform group for updates on the latest technology and development activitiesPlan and lead development activities in different locations and regionsWork in close cooperation with the project manager and other function leads (system, hardware, mechanical) to meet all customer needs and milestonesSupport defining the project budget and lead team to meet targetsTrack software issues and ensure timely and effective problem resolutionPrepare and reach approval for software releases and quality gate reviewsInteract with the production plant during development to ensure proper handover and exchange with manufacturingEnsure conformity to the development process and define acceptance criteriaReport project status and metricsSupport assessments and audits to verify applicable quality and safety standards.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree4+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development2+ years’ experience in project management or leadership roleWorking knowledge and deep understanding of software development lifecycle and processesDecision making abilities in complex, highly dynamic situationsExperience with customer interfacePreferred:Experience working in a safety critical systems environment (ISO26262)Hands-on usage of project management and work item tracking toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Agile development methodsStrong organizational competence and social skillsStrong interpersonal skills and proven ability to enable and motivate project teamsAptitude to multitask in a dynamic workplaceAdditional InformationIndefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
