A Mobile Phlebotomist is an individual contributor responsible for performing blood collection and specimen handling at various locations. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining safety standards, and managing the transportation of specimens to laboratories. The Mobile Phlebotomist must provide timely and professional service, supporting overall healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection and specimen handling at multiple sites
- Engage with patients to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures
- Document patient information and collection details accurately
- Adhere strictly to safety and infection control protocols
- Transport specimens securely and promptly to designated labs
Required Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Effective time management abilities
- Accurate record keeping
