- Provide 1:1 respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities
- Gastronomy Tube (g-tube) Care and Feeding
- Take vital signs and administer medication
- Trach Care (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
- Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection
- Seizure Management - may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
- Document on nursing notes every visit
- Be a support to clients and their family members
- Monitor and report changes in client care and/or behavior
- Active CA. LVN License
- CPR certification
- Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
- Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide (within 30 days of hire)
- New grads welcome - can shadow an experienced nurse to gain confidence prior to taking a case on their own (paid)
- Clear criminal background
