Community Engagement Specialist

Your Impact on Career Team’s Success Work collaboratively with the community and partner organizations to meet customer needs, particularly in the areas relevant to the program emphasis. Represent the company in external partner and stakeholder discussions, planning processes, continuous improvement processes, and special initiatives as designated by the Program Director. Facilitate operational and tactical connections with partner organizations and program staff, improving or scaling existing resources for WIOA‑enrolled customers. Demonstrate strong business acumen and polished presentation skills. Lead communication efforts and initiatives (traditional and social marketing channels) relevant to promoting the regional brand and increasing outreach, marketing, and customer engagement. Assist with the coordination of special events at American Job Centers (AJC) or in the community to increase performance outcomes. Build and improve pipelines for customers to American Job Centers. Enhance community awareness and engagement with available services and resources. Maintain accurate and thorough completion of required documentation and reports. Approach each day and task with a solutions‑oriented and responsive mindset. Complete additional duties and programs as needed. To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, community organization, or development. 3+ years of experience in business, marketing, public relations, education, or workforce development services. Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and maintaining confidentiality. Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners (preferred). Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive. Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Canva, Google Suite, case management, or customer relations software. Exceptional time‑management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license. Additional Skills/Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role Master’s or MBA degree. Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners. Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive.
