Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

As an LPN , you will:

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting

• Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered therapies safely and accurately

• Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to the RN, physician, or healthcare provider

• Complete accurate and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation

• Assist with nursing assessments, individualized care plans, admissions, transfers, and discharges

• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and delegate nursing tasks appropriately

• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life

• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and regulations

• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program

• Current, active Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing

• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, post-acute care, or senior living is preferred but not required

• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative nursing team

• Passion for providing exceptional, resident-centered care
