Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a 11-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This position requires providing specialized care on a telemetry unit, with a focus on post-operative cath care, management of cardiac drips with titration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewiston, Maine
• Position Type: Contractor Replacement
• Unit Type: T3 Cardio - Medical Surgical with Telemetry
• Shift: Nights, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week (3x12 shifts) with every other weekend required
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2 to 3 years of telemetry experience, including post-operation cath care, management of cardiac drips with titration, and dysrhythmia interpretation; Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (A-fib), arrhythmias, cardiac catheterizations/stents, and medical-surgical conditions; fluency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac treatments
• Additional Information:
  • Patient ratios approximately 1:4-5
  • Equipment used includes Sigma Spectrum intravenous pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 during transport), and EKG machines
  • EMR systems utilized are Omnicell and EPIC
