Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work; rewarding and correcting employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain list of rooms which need to be cleaned in order to prepare work assignments
- Assign work to cleaning personnel and trains personnel in housekeeping duties
- Issue supplies and equipment to workers
- Inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Record inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies
- Post room occupancy records and rooms ready for occupancy
- Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment
- Examine carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage or wear
- Check and count linens and supplies
- Inventory supplies and equipment to ensure adequate levels
- Assist in performing cleaning duties
- Report to maintenance needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Greet and acknowledge guests
- Perform other duties as assigned; including guest room tours, special guest requests, etc.
- One year of housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with or without accommodation
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic math skills
