The Vice President will lead transaction execution across M&A, debt, and equity advisory and actively contribute to strategic dialogue with clients across the consumer and retail sectorsThis is a critical position for an individual looking to take on significant responsibility within a dynamic and high-growth coverage group that sits at the core of Santander’s North America CIB strategyThe Difference You Make:As a Vice President in Investment Banking Coverage, you will play a key leadership role in the execution of complex transactions while developing relationships with key clients and driving new business opportunitiesDeal Execution & Project ManagementLead end-to-end execution of M&A, equity capital markets and debt capital markets transactionsManage cross-border transactions in close coordination with international colleagues in Europe and Latin AmericaCoordinate the development of client deliverables, including detailed financial models, valuation analyses and marketing materialsDrive due diligence efforts, manage data rooms, and coordinate internal and external deal workstreamsClient Coverage & Strategic AdvisoryServe as a trusted advisor to corporate and financial sponsor clients across the consumer and retail landscapeSupport Managing Directors in origination efforts through strategic idea generation, pitch development and market analysisContribute to building long-term client relationships by delivering high-quality content and thoughtful, proactive insightsTravel as requested by senior deal team members and or clientsLeadership & Talent DevelopmentSupervise and mentor Associates and Analysts, providing guidance on execution, modeling and presentation developmentHelp shape the group’s culture through team-building, knowledge sharing and coachingParticipate in recruiting and training initiatives across the Investment Banking platformIndustry & Market ExpertiseMaintain deep familiarity with industry trends, sector dynamics and investor sentiment in the consumer and retail spaceSupport thought leadership initiatives, including proprietary content development, client events and market briefingsWhat You Bring:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
