Production Supervisor, D-Crew, Liquid Plant

Job Description This opportunity is located within our AFB International business, the global science and technology leader in pet food palatability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Confirm operators are working safely, adhering to all policies and procedures. Ensure correct orders are run in a timely manner for Liquid and Dry products. Ensure operators follow procedures to reduce quality errors. Verify that IFS is up‑to‑date, correct, and all shop orders are closed out. Fill out an incident report if a situation occurs that violates policy and/or procedure. Report shift notes every workday. Maintain daily schedule adherence using Visual Management, IFS, and hour‑by‑hour documents. Update inventory counts daily. Work with Maintenance to ensure equipment runs properly. Adhere to COVID‑19 safe workplace playbook. Delegate daily work to each report, including hour‑by‑hour creation. Train all employees on new rules, regulations, equipment, and new hires. Help resolve issues and disputes. Evaluate performance and provide feedback. Lead the team by example. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise employees in the Production Department. Perform hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4 years of related experience. Desired: Master’s Degree in Business or related field and 4 or more years of direct industry experience. Certifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience. Exceptional team building skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and IFS or similar operating systems. Ability to operate forklift. Organized with excellent communication skills. Previous leadership experience. Reliable, with strong work ethic and integrity. Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 55 pounds. Work Environment The work environment includes high noise levels, exposure to powder substances, and strong smells.
