- The Machinist 3 will set up and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC and manual lathes, mills, and precision grinders to manufacture metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
- Duties include interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
- This role requires using machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments, making standard shop computations, and fitting/assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment.
- The ideal candidate will monitor and verify quality, maintain a clean work area, and complete required paperwork accurately while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- 5+ years of experience on 3 Axis CNC machines -- (Required)
- Experience running manual machines and performing set-ups -- (Required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications -- (Required)
- Experience in performing unique set-ups -- (Required)
- Experience with 4 and 5 Axis machines -- (Preferred)
- Experience with MAZATROL and Fanuc (HAAS) Controller -- (Preferred)
- CAD/CAM experience with Mastercam -- (Preferred)
- CAM experience with SolidWorks/NX Siemens -- (Preferred)
- Expert with Fanuc Mill (HAAS) controls, with 5 axis simultaneous -- (Preferred)
