Research Specialist I

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a LandResearch Specialist I with our large power and utilities client in Plainfield, IN. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hr ;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: Entry-level role in the research job family. Performs basic research to support document preparation and validate the company's land rights — researching internal/external databases and county records to determine property ownership and identify existing rights for infrastructure installation, operation, and maintenance. Supports new construction, rebuilds, major projects, and relocations. Responsibilities: 80% – Perform Research (title/ownership research, review engineering drawings/site plans/legal descriptions, prepare real estate documents, stay current on land law/regulations) 10% – Communication (coordinate with Business Partners, Real Estate Reps, Research Specialists, Data Management) 10% – Data Management (submit land rights for indexing, map easements in GIS) Required Qualifications: Education: Associate's in Paralegal, Real Estate, Business, Political Science, Surveying & Topography, or other related field (or HS/GED + 3 years' experience in lieu of degree) Experience: 1 year related work experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's in related field; 2 years' experience; Paralegal Certification Additional Preferred Skills: Communication, MS Office proficiency, organization/attention to detail, critical thinking, self-motivation, business knowledge, electric distribution/transmission systems knowledge, title examination experience, surveying/engineering drawing knowledge Working Conditions: Remote office; no physical requirements; occasional onsite meetings after onboarding; must live within reasonable commute of posted location Primary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Aff affirmation action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
