Environmental technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our Colorado team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in environmental consulting while working on a variety of field and technical projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming. This position is primarily remote, although candidates must reside in Colorado due to fieldwork requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct soil, groundwater, and water quality sampling and environmental monitoring. Perform field investigations and collect accurate environmental data. Analyze environmental data and assist with technical evaluations. Prepare technical reports, maps, tables, and project documentation. Maintain and calibrate field sampling and monitoring equipment. Coordinate sample shipments and communications with analytical laboratories. Travel to project sites throughout Colorado and Wyoming, including occasional overnight travel. Support project managers with a variety of environmental compliance and investigation activities. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological Sciences, or a related technical discipline. Have 0–3 years of environmental field or consulting experience (internships are welcome). Understand environmental sampling procedures, including groundwater, drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Be detail-oriented with excellent technical writing abilities. Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities while working independently. Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications. Have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at high elevations. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Have a working knowledge of EPA and applicable state and local environmental regulations.
