Cardiology Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description About the Role: Cardiovascular Associates PC is looking for a part time Cardiology Medical Assistant to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced cardiologists in a patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference in people's lives. Responsibilities: * Assist cardiologists and clinical staff with patient examinations and cardiology procedures * Perform EKGs and vital sign assessments for cardiac patients * Prepare and room patients, documenting medical histories and chief complaints accurately * Manage and maintain patient records using Athena, our electronic health record (EHR) system * Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments * Educate patients on cardiac medications, post-procedure care, and lifestyle recommendations * Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and cardiology equipment to ensure readiness Requirements: * Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential preferred * Prior experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or a specialty clinical setting preferred * Proficiency in performing EKGs * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software * Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach * Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume specialty practice * Knowledge of cardiology terminology, medications, and procedures is a plus About Us: Cardiovascular Associates PC has been a trusted provider of specialized cardiac care in the Southfield, MI area, delivering exceptional cardiovascular services to our community.
