Lead Agricultural Equipment Mechanic

Title: Lead Agricultural Equipment Mechanic
Location: Cumberland, WI
Job Type: Direct Hire | Onsite

A food manufacturing operation is seeking a Lead Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to oversee daily shop operations, direct mechanics, and keep harvest equipment running efficiently during peak season.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and prioritize daily mechanic/shop activities.
Troubleshoot and repair agricultural, diesel, heavy, and harvest equipment.
Manage parts inventory, vendors, repair records, and fleet/service trucks.
Support harvest operations and travel with the harvest crew when needed.
Assist with repairs and provide hands-on mechanical support.
Conduct safety audits and enforce GMP/safety procedures.

Requirements:

1 3 years of mechanical experience.
1 3 years of lead/supervisory experience.
Agricultural, diesel, heavy equipment, fleet, or industrial maintenance background preferred.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel systems, mechanical drives, conveyors, and pumps.
Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
Must own basic hand tools.
Must be comfortable with extended hours during harvest season.
