Physical Therapist

This position is responsible for delivering quality Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Therapy Supervisor and Manager. The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients across various age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Services entail conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy in collaboration with patients and their families or caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop appropriate plans of care for patients.
• Provide rehabilitation services to patients, ensuring optimal care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Supervise staff physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Deliver care in multiple therapy settings, adapting to the needs of the organization.
• Participate in program development and outcome measurement initiatives.
• Manage caseload and provide therapy based on departmental needs and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Schedule and Requirements

• Working a 5x8 schedule with varied shifts including weekends.
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each schedule period.
• Participation in per diem assignments, working at least one major holiday and one minor holiday each year.
• Must obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Physical Therapy license; a provisional license is acceptable until the full license is issued.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as per AHA standards is required.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant department is mandatory.
• Traveling staff may be required to float to other facilities based on their competencies.

This position is accountable for the quality of care provided to patients and may involve participation in clinical program development and outcome measurement strategies. Flexible scheduling is required based on departmental needs, including weekends and holidays.
