Responsibilities: Assist customers at the deli counter with sandwiches, product selection, recommendations, and custom orders Slice, wrap, and package meats and specialty deli items to order Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked deli counter display Handle food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently Receive and rotate deli inventory, checking for freshness and proper storage Requirements: Prior deli, food service, or specialty food retail experience preferred but NOT necessary Strong customer service and communication skills Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and sanitation best practices Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Reliable, punctual, and a true team player About Us: The Cheese Shop has been a cherished destination in the heart of Concord, MA, delighting customers with an exceptional selection of artisan cheeses, fine charcuterie, and specialty foods.
