Join Our Team as a Server/Barista at Encuentro Cafe!

Encuentro Cafe, the only Venezuelan restaurant in San Diego, is looking for a friendly and dedicated Server/Barista to join our team! Nestled in the heart of charming Old Town, we’ve been delighting guests with authentic Venezuelan cuisine since 2018. If you love working in a warm, welcoming environment and take pride in creating memorable dining experiences, we’d love to meet you.

As a Server/Barista at Encuentro Cafe, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for.
• Taking orders, serving authentic Venezuelan dishes, and preparing beverages with care and precision.
• Sharing your knowledge of our menu, including arepas, cachapas, tequeños, and more, to guide guests through their dining journey.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, both at the barista station and in the dining area.
• Collaborating with your team to create a lively yet cozy atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

We’re searching for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and embodies the warmth and hospitality that Encuentro Cafe is known for. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as serving or barista work.
• Language Skills: English / Spanish fluency is required to connect with our diverse clientele and share the rich culture behind our cuisine.
• Customer Service: A friendly, approachable demeanor and a genuine passion for creating great guest experiences.
• Team Player: Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and quality in service and preparation.
