The role supports patient progress, clinical coordination, and safe hospital operations. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will perform the following duties:Patient Evaluation: Conduct detailed psychiatric examinations, establish diagnoses, and guide treatment decisionsTreatment Planning: Develop individualized plans, lead team meetings, and coordinate interdisciplinary inputEmergency Response: Manage psychiatric and medical emergencies, direct interventions, and ensure safe resolutionClinical Documentation: Prepare reports, progress notes, treatment reviews, summaries, and competency assessmentsCollaboration Duties: Work with clinical staff, mentor students, support certified registered nurse practitioners, and attend assigned meetingsCompliance Requirements: Maintain licenses, certifications, documentation standards, and meet all agency mandatesInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call hours may be required. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.QualificationsMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.Other Requirements:PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
