About the Position

Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years MRI experience required. License: State license required. Certifications: BLS, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required. Must-Have: Experience with procedures involving adults and older pediatric patients aged 10 years and older. Description: Immediate start needed. Manager interviews will be conducted. Facility has 1 MRI room. No trauma designation. Experience with a mixture of acute and outpatient settings is acceptable. Typical patient types include: - Inpatient, outpatient, ED, ICU, MedSurg. - Neuro cases, including strokes. - Soft tissue injuries. - Head, neck, spine, hips, oncology, extremities, joints, abdominal, breast, and prostate imaging. - Some angiograms may be performed. Limitations on studies: - Patients should not have more than two studies at a time. - No vented or monitored patients, cardiac cases, sedation, or pacemakers. Average number of patients seen per day: 12-16. Required skills include IV starts and experience with the above patient types. Strong communication skills are necessary. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to multitask. Ability to produce high-quality images is essential. Comfort working independently is required, with support available close by. Support on the unit includes lead techs in other modalities and a manager/supervisor. Rapid response/code team will be available. Radiologists are on-site on select days. Clientist and ER doctors are available 24/7. Patients are transported primarily by inpatient staff, but some transport may occur. Technology used includes EMR and PACS systems, with a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine. Preferred experience with Philips equipment, but not required. No floating to other departments. Weekend rotation is not required. No on-call responsibilities. Closed on major holidays. Requests for time off must be approved through management. Scrub color should be any solid color without graphics, logos, or designs.
