Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional is preferred, especially in educational settings
• Experience supporting students with Autism or behavioral needs highly valued
• Comfortable working 1:1 and managing individualized caseloads
• Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Plan) implementation or willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach
• Ability to remain calm and constructive during behavioral incidents
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in special education is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student throughout the school day
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrative staff to carry out the student’s IEP goals
• Implement behavior plans and strategies as directed by the multidisciplinary team
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and personal care as needed
• Track and document student progress and behaviors
• Create and maintain a supportive learning environment
• Communicate insights and observations to the student's instructional team and family as appropriate
