Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONManage global and/or regional commodities. Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, and quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality. Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy. Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection. Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price negotiations, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and strategy development.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESManage global and/or regional commodityIdentify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements andensure supplier qualification and quality - partner with regional PPM teams to efficiently transition suppliers as neededResponsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy:Assess Opportunity for commodity including spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysisDevelop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefitsAccountable for execution of sourcing projects including continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)Conduct or support negotiations and suppliers election- accountable for contract lifecycle management and complianceResponsible for delivering commodity productivity through price negotiations, supporting value analysis/ value engineering projects (VA/VE or i2V) and other continuous improvement projects.Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity.Support commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to help local teams efficiently resolve escalated issues.Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and RFQ's.Responsible for forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflationLead periodic Commodity Reviews including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and countermeasuresOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOBExperience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.Experience: 5 + years procurement sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience.Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors.Candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skillsProfessional communication; both verbal and written are required.Ability to travel up to 30%.KEY COMPETENCIESSupply Chain Acumen – Ability to drive global development and execution of supply chain strategies for assigned components or services to achieve optimal results in the key areas of Quality, Delivery, & Price.Project Management – Review and approve project plans, oversees project execution, balances projects between short and long-term focus, secures alignment with cross-functional partners.Global Business Thinking/Strategizing-Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology, builds this knowledge into GSC strategies/playbooks, develops global talent.Problem Solving—Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers.Excellent technical, analytical problem-solving skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required totalk or listen.
