Position Overview

This position is for a skilled healthcare professional with specific experience in Critical Care Units. The role requires working 3x12-hour shifts during the day, with an emphasis on providing exceptional patient care within a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30)
Work Schedule: No Block Schedules, No Exceptions
Time Off (RTO): 5 Days or Less Required

Qualifications

Minimum Experience: 2 years in Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Required Skills:
- Open-heart experience with recovery of fresh surgery patients
- Device experience with Balloon, Impella, etc. is preferred
Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage arterial lines and assist with chest tube insertion/removal
Administer blood products and care for ventilated patients
Utilize Epic charting system effectively
Participate in emergency medication protocols and cardiac arrest management
Conduct assessment and care of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure

Unit Details

Facility Type: Mixed ICU (32-bed acuity-adaptable)
Staffing Ratios: 1:2 for ICU, 1:1 for some specialized devices, 1:3 for IMC
Patient Age Groups: Adults
Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, and more
