Shipping and Receiving Manager

We are seeking an individual who understands that shipping & receiving, in the context of lean manufacturing, a “water spider”, means a dedicated team responsible for the continuous replenishment of materials and tools at workstations, ensuring a smooth transition to point of use.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:Supervise and coordinate activities of shipping and receiving clerks engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing products for shipment.Work closely with manufacturing and purchasing teams to ensure materials are delivered as per the established lead times.Coordinate activities of material handlers to ensure daily requirements and objectives are met.Manage and improve on-time delivery at levels to ensure customer satisfaction.Responsible for receiving and initiating the RMA approval process.Initiate and follow through completion of freight claims against carrier for shortages,Participate in physical inventories of warehouses and/or supply yard.Champion EM-WEB portal for on-line parts ordering. Work closely with ASA’s and Depots to resolve any ordering issues with SMG.Communicate parts and accessories work order requirements to scheduling for timely production of service parts and accessories.Build relationship with the sales, purchasing, manufacturing, production, quality, rep groups, service agencies & parts distributors. Keeping these individuals informed in a timely manner.Responsible for the supervision of subordinates.
