Assistant Store Manager $12.95 to $15.95 per hour, plus potential commission up to 8% on transactions (average $1.59 per hour over base rate). Payrates are never below local minimum wage. Unlimited commission beyond the hourly base rate. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment, engaging customers and addressing issues promptly. Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet company standards. Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers, ensuring cash and merchandise security. Ensure asset protection via inventory control, property safety procedures, and documentation. Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems, and reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through goal setting. Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for accuracy and integrity. Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development. Communicate clearly with employees about mission and profit objectives. Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge. Act as manager on duty when the store manager is absent. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Work extended periods per law; standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting required. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated supervisory ability. Firearms handling and certification possible. Outdoors duties (parking lot or storage areas) may be required. Minimum age 18. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Willingness to work multiple locations as business needs dictate. Flexible retail schedule; availability weekends and holidays. 40+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed. Computer literate; POS and office systems proficiency. Multi‑tasking and strong organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience mandatory. Independent work with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and business sense. Commission Plan Assistant Store Managers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed commission terms are provided during the interview.
