Job Description:

As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a critical role in serving the commercial, agricultural, and defense industries for a custom fabricator of metal solutions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that, with good attendance and a great work ethic, can lead to a long and rewarding career with numerous opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a computer-controlled press brake machine to produce blanks for additional manufacturing operations or sold as is as finished flat parts
• Check parts utilizing calipers, micrometers and height gauges
• Load correct program into control to run correct parts and quantities
• Measure parts effectively to guarantee conformity to print specifications
• Determine if material supplied meets production requirements
• Remove cut pieces from sheet and examines for defects associated with punching including edge quality and surface nonconformities including scratches
• Complete production paperwork including quality and timekeeping records
• Read blueprints to determine characteristics required to monitor

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or trade completion
• Recent experience or technical school for punch or CNC operator
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Basic computer skills
• Able to stand for long periods

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share that the base salary range for this position is $15-25.00 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
