GreenLake Cloud Platform Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• Be located within one time zone of Mountain Standard Time; being based in MST is preferred.
• Have hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter, including clusters, datastores, HA, DRS, and virtual machine lifecycles.
• Have experience with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code practices, Git workflows, CI/CD automation, and API-driven provisioning.
• Bring advanced Linux administration skills, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, operating system lifecycle management, and shell scripting.
• Have experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes, managing Helm packages and containers, and supporting cluster operations.
• Have experience with at least one cloud management platform, such as Morpheus (preferred), VMware Aria/vRealize, CloudBolt, or a comparable private cloud platform.
• Preferred: Experience with air-gapped deployments, offline package management, artifact bundling, disconnected software delivery, container image curation, and private registries or repositories.
• Preferred: Experience creating golden images and managing VM templates, OVF/OVA workflows, cloud-init, Sysprep, or Packer.
• Preferred: Familiarity with VLANs, VMware vSwitches, DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, iSCSI, or vSAN.
• Preferred: Experience with STIG implementation, FIPS-compliant environments, security hardening, certificate management, and secure deployment practices.
• Preferred: Experience managing container images, packaging and vendoring Helm charts, and administering RPM or DEB repositories.
• Preferred: Experience with validation and testing tools or approaches such as Goss, pytest, Ansible validation frameworks, or infrastructure testing automation.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi environments for HPE GreenLake workloads.
• Support packaging, delivery, installation, and lifecycle management of the CCP platform for SilverCreek deployments.
• Assist with infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and release validation.
• Diagnose deployment, integration, and operational issues across platform infrastructure and services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure automation.
• Automate provisioning workflows using Morpheus or an equivalent cloud management platform.
• Support Git-based CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform delivery.
• Build automated deployment validation frameworks, health checks, smoke tests, and infrastructure testing solutions.

We are seeking two experienced contract engineers to support our enterprise storage and compute customer in Fort Collins, Colorado, as part of the SilverCreek on-premises platform initiative. You will augment the existing engineering team delivering, validating, maintaining, and automating CCP infrastructure and platform services in highly secure, disconnected customer environments. This is a highly technical role spanning infrastructure, platform engineering, deployment validation, security hardening, and operational troubleshooting.
