It’s about building the home they’ve always dreamed of. Responsibilities Develop detailed construction drawings from preliminary designs. Modify standard plans. Contact trades and send plans and details for quotation. Create detailed material take‑offs from preliminary plans and final construction drawings. Review truss plans/profiles and pre‑engineered floor system plans; revise and coordinate with construction drawings. Meet with field personnel to review/revise plans. Handle field questions from carpenters, superintendents, etc., via phone or on‑site visits. Develop and continually update standard details manual consisting of digital photos, detail construction drawings along with shop drawings and material list. Develop designs of “concept” or “preliminary” sales plans. Meet with sales/marketing staff and assist in new product development. Value engineering: develop cost efficient designs and construction drawings. Provide inter‑departmental support to sales/marketing, design center, production, estimating as required by company procedures. Proactively participate in department and inter‑department meetings. Maintain updated process map manual and follow its procedures. Maintain and update department procedures/checklists manual and computer file.
