Overview CDL A Delivery Driver — Location: 2202 East Geer St, Durham NC In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. Schedule Tuesday – Saturday. Start time between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and will work until the route is finished. Compensation Guaranteed a minimum of $1,100.00 per week. Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered Responsibilities Unload cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler Deliver to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more Qualifications At least 21 years of age Class A CDL License Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift Read, write, and communicate in English for reading labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and paperwork Successfully pass a drug test and a background check Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent to be considered for employment Benefits Affordable benefits plans start day one Weekly pay Wellness reimbursement Profit sharing & 401(k) with company match Leadership opportunities—95% of leadership hires from within GFS Equal Employment Opportunity Equal Employment Opportunity is a matter of policy at Gordon Food Service, Inc.
