Responsibilities Oversee all financial matters of the property Oversee departments under Finance including: accounting, planning & analysis, revenue audit, casino cage, receiving/ warehouse, retail and Count Key member of the property executive team and is involved in the development and execution of key operating strategies Responsible for the preparation and review of all monthly quarterly and annual financial statements, account reconciliations and tax returns Work closely with department leaders to review financial statements, regulatory audit findings and other analysis Responsible for the preparation of the property’s annual budgets, internal management reports and other financial analysis Oversee internal and external audits, state and local tax audits and reviews conducted by gaming regulators Oversee the development and maintenance of the property’s internal controls over the finance and accounting areas in accordance with local gaming regulations, internal company policies and Sarbanes‑Oxley Oversee the day‑to‑day purchasing, warehousing and receiving functions with close collaboration with corporate purchasing department Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate Responsible for staff development and training programs Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs Determines work procedures and expedites workflow Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting or related field from a four‑year college or university; ten or more years’ experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager or financial management related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices and familiarity with GAAP Experience in casino and hotel operations is preferable Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) Must have excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning and emotional intelligence Company Overview We’ve grown to become the leading provider of integrated entertainment, sports content, and casino gaming experiences thanks to our 43 destinations across North America, online sports betting and iCasino via theScore Bet Sportsbook and Casino©.
