Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Saginaw, MI, requiring Neuro PCU experience and an active MI RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting,
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts,
• 36 hours per week,
• Floating to other PCU and Med/Surg floors as needed,
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys),
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Active NIHSS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Neuro PCU experience required,
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration,
• Skills checklist current within the last year, pertinent to PCU specialty, required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Performs ongoing patient assessments and delivers skilled nursing care in accordance with evidence-based practice standards,
• Administers medications, performs treatments, provides patient education, and responds to alarms and call lights,
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized patient care plans,
• Functions as a team leader and resource, delegating and directing support staff as appropriate,
• Recent travel work history is highly preferred,
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible; local candidates may complete only one 13-week contract at this facility,
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
