Performs field and office duties to ensure built-environment resources are given full consideration in a Civil Works program of planning, design, construction, operation, and permit evaluation, and Navigation project assignments. Serves as lead technical specialist for assigned projects, managing all aspects of projects to conclusion and in compliance with National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Protection Act, or other laws, regulations, and policy. In Addition To Meeting The Basic Requirement Above, To Qualify For This Position You Must Also Meet the Qualification Requirements Listed Below: Specialized Experience GS-12 One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Identifying, documenting and assessing effects to historic buildingsproperties under the National Historic Preservation Act; 2) Preparing detailed studies of historic buildings and structures including integrity and condition assessment and restoration of historic structures; 3) Managing projects/programs focused on the built environment (including historic structures and buildings) within scope, schedule and budget; and 4) Participating and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate built-environment and cultural resources concerns into project and planning review processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
